Position Summary
The Managing Director Fellow will work closely with the Artistic Leadership team to oversee the administrative, production and operational functions of the company. This fellowship is designed to provide leadership training and professional development opportunities for an emerging arts manager passionate about the intersection of theatre and social justice.
The Fellow will gain hands-on experience in organizational leadership and production management all while supporting the company’s mission to create transformative theatre experiences.
Responsibilities to include
Leadership & Strategy

Collaborate with the Artistic Leadership team to develop and implement the organization’s production schedule.

Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and values.

Support the creation of policies and procedures that promote equity, inclusion, and sustainability.
Marketing & Communications
-
Partner with the marketing team to promote productions, events, and initiatives.

Maintain consistent and transparent communication with stakeholders, including audiences, funders, and collaborators.
Community Engagement & Advocacy

Foster relationships with community organizations, activists, and artists aligned with the company’s mission.

Advocate for social justice through innovative theatre practices.
Priority Tasks

Qualifications
Required
-
Passion for theatre, social justice, and community-building.

Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Preferred
-
Experience and/or degree in arts administration, nonprofit management, or a related field.

Knowledge of the social justice landscape and its intersection with the arts.
